We had a great time in Tipton!
Our wonderful hosts Joni Harper and Elaine Anderson from MU Extension gave us a warm welcome in Moniteau County.
Our speakers were Michelle Williams, Amanda Smolinsky, Tyler McCubbin, Kristofferson Culmer, Jenna Lee, and Micheal Borucke. They talked about bacteria in the soil, the effect of physical exercise on bones and the brain, drought tolerance of corn roots, the intersection of social networks and medicine and how to grow crops and trees together to increase productivity!
28 people attended the event, and some even drove in from neighboring communities to hear us out!
After the talks, while parents asked questions and chatted with the speakers, kids got to go around tables and look at bacteria plushies, bone models, and even live lizards and frogs!
