Sammy Gerb

Graduate Student, Veterinary Pathobiology

I am a third year Comparative Medicine Resident and master’s student. As a resident, my goal is to provide excellent veterinary care for our animals while ensuring scientists have the support and tools they need to research and develop therapeutics for human and animal diseases. My masters research focuses on ways in which we can improve the collection and storage of sperm and embryos. This is important, as refining these techniques aids in animal welfare and ensures researchers around the world have the best animal models available to study human diseases. Both my research and residency training focus on how to reduce the number of animals used in research and making sure they have the best care possible while they’re working hard to cure human and animal diseases!
