Are you interested in becoming a speaker for Science on Wheels? To get started, fill out the form below!
The majority of our events consist of short, 5 min presentations that you will give without slides (although props are encouraged!). This might sound intimidating at first, but we will help you get there! In order to increase participation, we may also take some speakers along to participate in interactive, hands on activities rather than give a traditional presentation. We will also help you develop these activities. Other types of programming are in the works, and we would love to hear your ideas!
Once we receive your request, you will be added to our speaker database. Your next step will be to complete our science communication training. This consists of an online portion and an in-person feedback session that will help you develop your outreach presentation.
After you complete our training, we will send you a survey to gauge your availability for that semester’s events. This will allow us to schedule you to participate in an event. Please keep in mind that due to availability we may not be able to schedule you every semester, although it is likely you will be able to participate in one or more event every semester.
