Speakers

Science on Wheels recruits speakers from a diverse array of backgrounds, identities, and scientific disciplines. All of our speakers are graduate students or postdoctoral researchers interested in connecting their research to nonscientists. One of our goals at Science on Wheels is to provide the resources necessary for our speakers to achieve their outreach goals. To this end, we train all of our speakers to communicate effectively with nonscientists through modules and practice sessions. The training element is missing from most graduate programs, and as such, becoming a speaker for Science on Wheels contributes to the development of transferable skills that are important for your future career. Familiarize yourself with the awesome work our speakers do below.

If you are a graduate student or postdoctoral researcher at MU and would like to get involved with Science on Wheels as a speaker, please reach out to us!
